by listening to each of those differences.
Not making sounds the same,
but knowing each one’s character,
and searching for the relationships in which those characters resonate most beautifully.
PURE INTONATION
Resonating, just as we are.
To become one, we don’t need to become the same.
Things that are different
can resonate together while staying different.
For Amoa Japan, pure intonation is music theory,
and also a way of exploring the question, “What is harmony?”
Music begins with choosing a single bowl.
We play each bowl,
measure its frequency,
listen to its overtones,
and search for the sounds it resonates with.
As an authorized distributor of Crystal Tones, Amoa Japan offers Crystal Bowls individually, and also selects and designs sets based on Pure Intonation.
For us, selection is not a step before the sale.
It is already part of making music.

mogmin. is the artistic work of Megumi Haruna, Representative of Amoa Japan.
Music, photography, art, fashion, travel.
What is expressed, where, and how keeps changing.
Making what I feel.
Instead of letting it pass by,
I try giving form to what remains inside me.
Making something new from what lies on the borders.
Then mixing.
Testing.
Making them resonate.
Blending resonance.
Piano from the age of three.
Ears that have finely distinguished sounds since childhood.
Encounters with many instruments.
And the Crystal Bowl.
Listening.
Measuring.
Combining.
Performing.

Listening to the world that is you.
There are things the body knows before they become words.
SENOA. is a project that uses sound and vibration as a way to listen closely to your own senses.
Listening with the whole body.
Sound does not only enter through the ears. It is also vibration that can be felt with the body.
Connecting feeling and knowing.
What SENOA. values is
each person’s own experience:

Using measurements such as heart rate variability and the autonomic nervous system as clues, we look at our state from another angle.

KATAKAMUNA Jewelry is
a jewelry brand that begins with meeting your own name again.
The ancient characters and sounds of Katakamuna.
Your own name is laid over them
and shaped into a single form.
Then it meets gold and gemstones
and becomes jewelry made for you alone, one of a kind in the world.
A single form, born from a name.
At KATAKAMUNA Jewelry,
the sounds that make up a name are written in Katakamuna characters,
and those characters are layered together into a single symbol.
Wearing beauty. Wearing yourself.
That small presence at your chest or fingertips
quietly reminds you:
“I live with this name.”
Coming to love your own name
may be a small doorway to loving yourself.
Turning ancient wisdom into a living culture today.
Wisdom becomes romance,

Clothes are with us every day, close to the body.
What MEGAMi wants to make are
clothes that reveal the character of the person wearing them.
Born from a name, it became a philosophy.
It began with the name of designer Megumi Haruna.
Abroad, whenever the name “MEGUMI” was given,
people kept pronouncing it “MEGAMI.”
In time, that sound, “MEGAMI,”
took shape as a brand.
MEGAMi
The final I became a lowercase i.
Into it we put the meaning of the “light” within each of us.
Who you are becomes your light.
When your relationship with yourself grows
and you can stand at your own center, thinking “I am enough as I am,”
the character that is yours alone naturally comes through.

A jewelry brand we planned and ran for about ten years, with pop-ups at major department stores, mainly Takashimaya Shinjuku, JR Nagoya Takashimaya and Matsuya Ginza.
An eye for choosing stones.
A sense for the slightest differences.
Combining different things
into a single world.
The senses nurtured through working with jewelry
eventually led to listening to sound, choosing Crystal Bowls, exploring the relationships between frequencies,
and to today’s Amoa Japan,
which creates new things by connecting different fields.

“it would be wonderful if this existed.”
An idea that can’t quite be explained yet,
a small sense of unease before it becomes words.
